ARTIST STATEMENT

My artistic journey is a vibrant tapestry woven from the rich threads of my Native American and Norwegian heritage, spanning across continents and disciplines. Rooted in the eclectic energy of the late 1970s New York City art scene, my formative years pulsated with the rhythm of Max’s Kansas City and CBGBs, where I immersed myself in writing, photography, and performance alongside a constellation of creative souls. These early experiences, steeped in the ethos of collaboration and experimentation, continue to shape my multidisciplinary approach to art.

With a foundation in Musicology, Music Composition, and Art Photography, my creative path unfolds as a harmonious symphony, blending diverse influences into a singular expression. From penning evocative prose to capturing fleeting moments through my lens, each medium becomes a brushstroke on the canvas of my artistic narrative. Collaborative ventures exemplify my commitment to intertwining words, music, and visual imagery in immersive experiences that challenge perceptions and ignite the imagination.

My artistic ethos transcends conventional boundaries, inviting viewers to journey beyond the confines of the familiar into realms of introspection and discovery. Through provocative explorations of societal constructs, intimate portrayals of human experience, and transcendent performances that blur the lines between art and life, I seek to evoke emotion, provoke thought, and inspire connection. As I continue to traverse the landscapes of creativity, my aim remains steadfast: to illuminate the beauty in the unconventional, celebrate the complexities of the human spirit, and forge enduring connections through the universal language of art.

Of course, dragging the text will move the paragraph on the page. One paragraph may be enough to introduce your project. If it gets too long, break up the text into several paragraphs. Long text is perfect for explaining what's unique about your website.
